Cloud of darkness was also a nightmare back in the day. So many people wouldn’t pay attention to meteors especially as the boss got close to dying.

I'm always impressed when I see these videos with people clearing 1-200 solo. I've had close to 100 attempts at the title, myself. I don't think I'm capable of clearing solo, but it is certainly a lot of fun.

Thank you so much for this guide. I'm coming off a LONG break from XIV and was an AST main but due to my break (and having always been a very casual player, no guides) there is a Lot of details and nuances about my kit I don't understand. Worse yet, it's hard to know when to use what skills exactly and a lot of abilities beyond level 70, I almost never use or rarely use to full potential and fluid gameplay. I want to get better over the summer and start getting into more difficult content with friends, but I'd like to do my best and carry my weight on AST effectively!

Other people probably pointed this out, but the 6.X storyline is using FF4's villains, but is not following FF4's story at all. You said yourself "I have not played FF4" so this assumption that it was a cheap re-run of FF4 ruined the experience for yourself.

2:44 but to be fair i have to say i often dont see the stackmarkers as tank because of the boss so if i hear music or something while playing i often dont get it ... at the same time thats maybe because i nearly never play tank just played them to get them to 90 so im most likely not the "normal everyday tank" xD 15:44 but to be honest for a "normal mode" that mechanic is pretty fast ... i love that fight but yeah its fast and especially if you dont know it its nearly sure that you will get hit ;D

Just want to throw this out here... it seems a lot of comments disagree with my opinion on the story, which is fine, I don't dislike the story of EW as I said, I just had some problems with it, I do wish I went into more depth to explain myself better, and about that. This video was intended to be much longer with very in-depth analysts on everything Endwalker related, talking 2-3 hour run time, but I stressed that I wouldn't finish that in time before Dawntrail release, or I would get it out just before when nobody would care... so I shortened the script down to be about an hour long... in wake of that, there is of course some things I just didn't give enough time to talk about or explain, Endwalker is a large expansion and talking about all the details in a 1 hour video doesn't do it 100% justice. but yeah... just wanted to explain that! I'll continue to give my critique and praise to FF14 going into DT and I'll learn more to be a better critique in general, so please have patience with me, this is for first real attempt at a review, so they'll get better over time, surely!

I’m really glad your guide went further into the entire loop rather than just discussing openers. After watching an intro guide, it took me a while to notice things weren’t lining up if I was using PB on cooldown, and this video helped me confirm my changes to things were on the right track. Dude I stopped watching when u said u need endwalker for male viera when u it not true u need to do ur research, male viers is the same as female Viera u don't need endwalker, u just need SHB expansion and I think it the same with female Hrothgar, just because these two genders came out with those expansion doesn't mean u need those expansion for them cuz they are not an entire new race they just gender swap of an existing race, my friend didn't have endwalker and he can play as male viera

Ascian Prime is the hardest normal boss in the game. It's never not a nailbiter if you're playing a class without a rez.

as a healer or tank, i suggest putting dps on a different color, because red is also the default color of the engaged enemy.. also different from your alliance color.. so i put my dps on yellow cause my alliance is on orange..

I did the same thing with ziggy earlier today, but I was playing tank so it didn't matter much

I don't see them using paladin shields. No weapons are shared like that in ff14.

Heh, I had Sephiroth EX yesterday - we beat him with 7min left on the timer XD I only just started with my mentor roulette journey - 47 since last weekend... Its faster than I thought... but yeah, sometimes also more annoying. Funfact: you learn all the old fights as they were intended XD
